ROOTS MUSIC FROM Southern Africa 14TH EDITION

JAZZMED wurde 2006 von Thomas Pfleger gemeinsam mit Stefan Pelzl und Robert Schönherr gegründet. Die Eigenkompositionen orientieren sich musikalisch an R&B, Pop,Latin Jazz und souligen Stilelementen und klingen gleichermaßen melodisch wie groovig. Gemeinsam mit ihren Special Guests des Abends -Stefanie Pitsch, und Vusa Mkhaya lädt JAZZMED zu einem festlichen Abend voller musikalische Vielfalt und Emotion. Das Publikum erwartet eine stimmungsvolle Mischung aus Jazz, R’n’B, Latin, Pop und Funk – feinfühlig, groovend un voller Lebensfreude.

Blessings Nqo Nkomo & Rhythms Afro Band
Blessings „Nqo“ Nkomo is a Zimbabwean musician, composer, and vocalist known for his work in world music and traditional African genres. Based in Vienna, Austria, he has built an international career both as a solo artist and as a member of several prominent musical groups.
Musical Groups
Insingizi: Nqo is a founding member of this award-winning a cappella trio, which specializes in the traditional „Imbube“ style of Southern Africa. MoZuluArt: A collaborative project that fuses traditional Zulu music with classical compositions, particularly those of Mozart. The group was founded by Nqo alongside Vusa Mkhaya Ndlovu, Ramadu, and Roland Guggenbichler. Musical Fusion: His work blends traditional a cappella with gospel and world music. His lyrics often address themes of God, family, love, and cultural
preservation.

PASCAL LOPONGO & Band
Pascal Lopongo band is a 6 piece group from Congo based in Austria Vienna.Their music has been influenced by a variety of cultures from Congo.Its a fusion of African traditional,Congolese Rumba,Soukous and Afro pop, filled with harmonious singing and energetic Afro moves.
