DESCRIPTION:35 Jahre Reigenlive Festival – A Tribute to João Gilberto – the ‚father of Bossa Nova‘ by Mario Bakuna \n\nMario Bakuna on acoustic guitar and vocals  Special guest: Edmundo Carneiro on percussion. \n\nAfter sold-out nights in the UK\, Portugal\, Sapin\, France and the Netherlands\, Mario Bakuna is delighted to perform this special concert in Vienna at Reigen Live. He invites the audience to celebrate one of the greatest Brazilian musicians of all time.  João Gilberto\, the great pioneer and father of Bossa Nova in Brazil in the late fifties\, is the focus of this special concert performed on guitar and vocals by acclaimed Brazilian guitarist and singer Mario Bakuna. Featuring reinterpretations and Mario’s compositions\, the audience will be treated to traditional elements of samba\, syncopated rhythms of plucked chords\, along with more contemporary jazz. \nEdmundo Carneiro is a Brazilian percussionist based in Paris for over 30 years\, Edmundo Carneiro toured over 66 countries and worked with international music figures such as Baden Powell\, Tânia Maria\, Steve Gadd\, Ana de Hollanda\, Rosinha de Valença\, Antony Jackson\, Monica Passos\, Chucho Valdes.
